A Concerned Parent started this petition to Felicity-Franklin Board of Education

We as parents are asking Felicity-Franklin Board members to stop the nonsense and unmask our kids. Masking should be an optional Health decision for each parent with their child. Cases are not climbing in our district and kids are not getting this virus! As a parent and as a community we need to seriously think this through.

We need to rely on the Science which has expressed how detrimental masks are to our children. For adults, that need to wear a mask it can be inconvenient. For children it could be more serious. Masks disguise key cues in our expressions, making it harder to read someone’s face, and there is growing evidence that this could be affecting child social and emotional development. We need to ensure that children form healthy interpretations of the world and if one of the most expressive parts of the body, the face, is covered by a mask, how can they?

Another key point is the health effects it is having on our children! Masks are proven to cause headaches, rash, acne, skin breakdown, and impaired cognition, fatigue, bacterial pneumonia with prolonged use. Masks are not only causing stress and depression! Fungal infections in children’s lungs are on the rise! Why are we doing this to our children! Breathing the same air in day in and day out is bound to cause health problems.

Parents! Our kids are wearing masks during Gym! Picture that! Some of us are having trouble walking around a store with one on and our little ones are running in them in gym and at recess!

Elementary school kids are getting 1 minute air breaks outside. This sounds ludicrous!! We need mask mandate gone now!

Please read and share with any parent you know with a child attending Felicity-Franklin School! Thanks so much the children will thank you for it!!!
