Appeal to International Dressage & Eventing Riders

If you agree that our Equestrian disciplines of FEI level Dressage and Eventing have many years of classical riding traditions , then please consider adding your name and sign this letter to help preserve the opportunity for us to continue to have a choice, regarding the wearing of the Top Hat or a Safety Helmet in the Dressage arena at FEI events ( With the exception of Young Horse Classes )

There are currently no statistics to support the decision , made in December 2019 by the FEI, to ban the wearing of the Top Hat from 2021 for safety reasons .

You are urged to give your vote , in order that you may continue to have the choice to wear the Top Hat, along with the tail coat , as a traditional and classical part of correct dress at FEI events in the Dressage arena.
