I have received information that fed ex discards LIVE animals. To explain where I am coming from. I am an Axolotl breeder/keeper. I have sent two of my breeder Axolotls to my friend since I am unable to breed at the moment due to the fact I have had a baby. Using an aquatic shipping company that sends through fed ex I though they would be in the best hands! Once they were picked up the delivery driver mishandled them and had them sideways when the box clearly stated which side up to keep them at since they’re fragile! Next the package was delayed so I called and made sure they would be shipped out the next day. It is not a problem for me if they are delayed and I know these things happen and they were packaged correctly they would be fine for up to two weeks in this package. Although not ideal I knew they would be safe. I was not prepared for this next part. I have been emailed the aquatic shipping company daily About them and they would go to ask fed ex where they were and yet no answer. A week has now passed so I have called just to be told they have been discarded!! I had no idea LIVE animals were being discarded!! The heart break of my babies just being thrown in the trash possibly still alive is ridiculous. This is animal cruelty at its finest and I’m shocked that no one has spoken up about this matter! I even have proof stating that these animals are discarded!!
