Oppose Federal Funding of MTA's GearyBRT “Red Carpet” Bus Only Lanes and Construction

SFMTA is lying to the federal government to make BRT look like a smart idea. BRT doesn't save time by painting Red Carpet Lanes, it saves time by removing over 30% of the bus stops in the neighborhood. If you drive, walk or bike, you know that MUNI's "Red Carpet" Lanes have made a mess of the Mission district by increasing traffic congestion, endangering bicyclists and causing confusion for residents, small business owners and visitors. Now MUNI's planners are coming to "Fix" the Richmond district with their desire to demolish Geary Blvd's center-median– killing mature trees that are over 50 years old to lay down a $300,000,000 "Red Carpet" Bus Only Lane. Help us oppose this boondoggle and keep streets safe for children and Seniors.
