My goal is to provide the citizens of Houston/Harris county and Southeast TX with a long overdue OWS (Outdoor Warning Siren) system that is much needed. Harris county and the Houston area are the 2nd most tornado prone county in the entire United States! But there is no warning system for tornadoes or any other disaster than smartphones or TV or radio. Please understand these sirens can run on battery backup and can speak direct vocal messages about impending threats. These are no longer just “tornado sirens”.
