Remove the ethnicity questions from homeowner loan applications in the US
Red Lining and the inclusion of ethnicity data on home loan and business loan applications has unfairly restricted, often times prohibited African Americans and people of colour from securing homes and building business.
If lucky enough to receive a loan, the interest rates are inflated and in some cases unaffordable. Similar ethnic data collection is used in virtually all financial matters.
These practices are outdated and is institutional Racist, discriminatory and unconstitutional and should be outlawed with immediate effect, thus allowing a fair, transparent and level base for all citizens of the United States of America. The removal of such antiquated practices would allow all aspects of financial business to be based on an individuals creditworthiness and financial obligations as opposed to ethnic profiling and stereotypes. Financial Equality!
