Adeniyi Adewumi started this petition to FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA

The current strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) should be looked into by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The strike by University teachers in the country has grounded academic activities in Nigeria public Universities. The arguments of the lecturers is that the integrated payment scheme introduced by the Government of Nigeria will consume the public Universities in Nigeria. However, the Government of Nigeria believed otherwise but excluded the Central Bank of Nigeria and some other Government agencies. ASUU believed that it will affect the adjunct lecturership especially for those in the Professorial cadre. It will affect postgraduate supervision, as adjunct lecturers in some fields may not be supervise students where there are dearth of Professors.

Due to actions many students (undergraduate and postgraduate) are been delayed to conclude their studies and researches.

We Nigerian students are appealing to Federal Government of Nigeria and ASUU to consider Nigerian students in their ongoing face-off.
