Oluwasegun Dada started this petition to Federal government of Nigeria, CBN, NIMC

Before Covid-19, Nigeria has already been perceived as an annex of poverty, next to India. Over 92 millions of the citizens were said to be living below the proverbial poverty line, feeding on less than a dollar per day.
Women, who constitute more than the half of the entire population, and their children are the most hit with hunger pandemic, which had been before coronavirus.

The covid-19 only worsened things. With several rules that now limit people from engaging in their daily hustles, the situation seems to have gotten out of hands. As business organizations are now forced to downsize, more of their workers are also going to be forcefully made to joined the stay at home folks.

No wonder crime rates is expected to increase, with more cases of scams both locally and internationally.

But Nigeria is also known as the giant of Africa, if not for any other reason but for its population. With close to 200 millions, Nigeria can actually turn its people into financial asset. The diversity of its people and culture can actually be the diversity of its wealth, enabling its to pay off its debt and take its deserved place among other nations.

This seemingly impossible dream can actually be achieved by simply adopting the solution developed by Inksnation DAO Foundation's blockchain for Human and Non-human Asset Development called InksLedger Blockchain.

The system was created by a Nigerian to assist the government of Nigeria in the fight against poverty, through incentivizing goodness, promoting love, unity, oneness, peace and equitable distribution of wealth.

The idea of equitable distribution of wealth has been planned in accordance to the concept of the Universal Basic Income which is already gaining attention again due to the economic displacement brought on by the covid-19 pandemic. In response, Pinkoin (PKN), which is Inksnation's native cryptocurrency was launched as a Distributed Reserve cryptocurrency.

The idea is to pay a minimum of #4000 daily income to every Nigerian, which results to a basic income of #120,000 per month. This has the power to end poverty in Nigeria for ever, if adopted.

I need to mention that this UBI program has started paying 1.6 million Nigerians from August 12, and testimonies from those who are cashing out are already flying around on YouTube. Which shows the program can actually work. The more human Assets we have on this platform, the stronger the value of Pinkoin, and the more workable the program will be to the entire nation.

Which is why the support of the Nigerian government is of utmost importance. But this importance also comes with its own package of benefits for the government, especially, the government in power at this time.

One, the government won't have to struggle to fulfill its standard obligation to serve and protect the inherent dignity of its citizens, as a member of the United Nation. That dignity, according to Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 'and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world'.

Article 25 even specifically states that 'everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, which include food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.'

Not only are the jobless and the sick provided for, even women and children, who usually used to be at the receiving end of poverty are protected with social security earlier mentioned in article 22 of the same Declaration.

Naturally, these are ideals that most governments of the developing countries would find hard to keep. But with the adoption of Inksnation's system, Nigerian government can be seen as more responsible in the welfare of its citizens.

Nigeria will be famous for something other than crime. Imagine Bloomberg and CNBC carrying news items about the country on the adoption of cryptocurrency. This will really be great as most news from Nigeria has always been about its numerous international fraudsters using the internet to dupe people of their hard-earned money. This project can change that.

Easy transition from cash-carrying society to a cashless economy. This has always been a bit hard for some reasons. One, not all Nigerians have bank accounts, and not all even use their debit card in transaction. Inksnation currently has merchants that are willing to sell their products and services to people, while willing to accept pinkoin. Since pinkoin is digital and a cryptocurrency, it can do the job perfectly. And because government's hand is now involved, more and more people will use this method of payment. Before you know it, we're there.

More revenues from taxes. One of the reasons Nigerian government is finding it hard to get more taxes is because they can't trace the activities of certain Nigerians. But not when everyone will be required to complete the full capturing of their information on the national ID card before they can have access to their daily income.
Besides, I don't think it should be hard for people earning unconditional payments on a daily basis to pay their taxes. And if they do, they know they can't hide.

Improvement in standard of living and buyers confidence. What that implies is that the citizens' conditions will tremendously improve while they tend to spend on things that catch their fancy. This will in turn lead to economic improvement where people will want to invest more.

I believe this will encourage more people to want to produce since they know people will buy. More investment and more local production means improved economy.

The good news about supporting this project is that it does not have to take any money from the nation whose treasury is already depleted. Yes, the government doesn't have to spend a dime out of pocket because much of this has already been done by the founder of Inksnation DAO.

What this project needs is to link it's pinkard information with the data capturing services of NIMC to ensure that all Nigerians are on the platform. This will even give people an impetus to want to be on government data because now incentives are added. Central Bank also need to work with inknation on this project.

We need all Nigerians to jump in on this project first for its benefits, and because of the fact that this is our own innovation, which should be supported by all.

Therefore I request readers to sign this petition with me and our target is 3 millions. Imagine if we could get 3 million signatures from Nigerians, it'll show we are very serious about this. And we can easily get the government attention.

This is a truly all-nigerian project and I enjoin all Nigerians, home and diaspora, to register their interest. Let's think of what this means to an average Nigerian who has just inherited more misfortunes as a result of covid-19. Many lives will be saved. Crime will be discouraged. And creativity will be enhanced. I even have reasons to believe that beggars will be taken off our streets for good. Truth is, nobody likes begging anyway.

But all that won't happen for us if we, as Nigerians aren't ready to declare a support for a project that has the ability to support our living. We mustn't just think of signing this alone. We must also get our friends and families to declare their support too, by enjoining them to sign this petition. And to get on the project as fast as they can.

The more people we can get to sigh this, the more attention we get from the government.
