Price Buchanan started this petition to Federal Government of Brazil and

The Amazon Rainforest, "The Lungs of the World", has been dying. The Governments and organisations of the world have stood by and watched, but we need to make a change. The fires in the Amazon are said to be to burn down space for agriculture. Brazil is a developing nation. The Amazon is a extensive amount of land they could use to benefit their economy. It is easy for other countries to look on this and believe whatever they want. Yet, they do not have this problem, they do not own "The Lungs of the World".

We, the human race, rely on the Amazon, and the Federal Government of Brazil, to keep up alive. We need to protect the earth, and in turn the Amazon Rainforest.

Governments, and organisations of the world. I suggest you sponsor the Amazon. Brazil can 'lease' areas of the amazon to different countries and organisations, and agree protect and defend the amazon. These leases could be renewed every 5 or 10 years. This way, Brazil's income and GDP will increase, which will allow them to increase infrastructure and better their economy. Improving the standard of life of not only their economy, but the world.

Then the Amazon will be protected by both the Federal Government of Brazil, and the countries and organisations of the world. It would then be in the Government of Brazil's best interest to protect the Amazon. As it will bring them revenue to protect and preserve the Amazon Rainforest

The only way to make this change, is if YOU, choose to support, make a stand, and show what you want to happen. Be heard, spread the message, tell your political leaders, and large organisations. Or even, start a fund or a group or an organisation to pay for part of the amazon. Donate to organisations who support this cause.

Please, join with me in fighting for our lives, the lives of the many animals and plants, and possibly the most important, the lives of the future.
