I believe an independent oversight group needs to be established to assist in the fair and equitable distribution of the millions of dollars that have been donated to bushfire relief.

So much money that has been donated and I have little faith that the bulk of it will be fairly distributed to those who are in need, without being eaten away by administrative costs. 

An independent group made up of combined charities, local government representation, fire service representatives, legal representatives, etc. 

I believe that most Australians would like to see the funds proportionally distributed among those who have been directly impacted by fires. This includes individuals, fire service workers, animal rescue, etc and should include replacement of homes,  cost of temporary accommodation and other material needs, financial aid for those who have lost the ability to earn an income, mental health and trauma services, fire equipment updates and replacement, reimbursement of wages to firefighters, compensation to families of injured or deceased personnel, etc.  

Will you join me in calling for this to be implemented?
