Even with the immense amount of wealth in this country, there are too many children living in poverty, setting them up to fail and repeat the cycle they were born into. 1 in 5 children are living in poverty and by the governments help to expand housing vouchers by just 1.4%, it would cut child poverty by 57%. These vouchers would help low income households with minors afford stable housing by enabling children to grow up in better neighborhoods and improve their chances of long-term success.
