Dear Constituents of Chicago and Nation Wide. I am a former federal employee. I had to work through the government shut down for TSA in 2018. We got a stipend in the last week of the month of $500. We all looked to our Political leaders, our moral leaders, and our spiritual leaders for guidance and moral support. We all felt as if we were held captive as a result for political grandstanding. I ask that the will of people support that if Federal Government Employees are forced to work without receiving a paycheck then our Elected Officials not receive a paycheck either as a token of good faith, will and intention in solidarity with other colleagues that also work for the government.
