Flight Path Change Over Lake Arrowhead
This petition had 650 supporters
The FAA enacted a flight path change for Ontario International Airport which now directs air traffic over Lake Arrowhead.
The low-flying planes' descent directly over Lake Arrowhead has caused a tremendous uproar among residents. Several members of the community attended the Lake Arrowhead Municipal Advisory Council's June 1 meeting to express their concerns and aggravation.
Many residents and visitors move to and visit the mountains to enjoy peace and tranquility. These low-flying planes cause a lot of noise and the number of planes flying over the community on a daily basis is too many to count.
The Lake Arrowhead Municipal Advisory Council has heard your concerns and we share them. Many residents have suggested a petition, and so we have created this petition so that Congressman Paul Cook and the Federal Aviation Administration can her from constituents in the affected area.
This petition's goal is to have the FAA change the flight path to direct aircraft traffic over the area that crosses the mountain near Heaps Peak; over areas which are uninhabited and less affected by the aircraft noise.
