My DNA is my profile - my own data I should be able to have it analyzed independently by a service provider like 23andMe

Banning information is wrong. Will they now ban palm readers?

1. Direct access to my health information (which I would bring to a doctor if I am concerned by it - without a government agency telling me to do so!)
2. Government agencies of all levels are behaving like Cartman of South Park fame: You will respect mah authorite!

I do not agree with FDA claim that DNA test is a medical device that need to be regulated due to potential harm. It is not a medical device and it is not claimed as a diagnostic tool. The 23andMe testing lab is not worse than any other lab in the country that also can give false results. Who will get any treatment w/o second opinion?

I have the right to learn more about my own DNA. I am fully capable of reading and understanding a disclaimer about its utility. Do not make these decisions for me.

FDA: Get out of my genome! It is MINE and I demand to have access to my personal data. Get back to regulating beef, poultry, pork and produce.
