Update - the city council will hear this in June.
In June, the Fate City Council will be hearing responses to a request to grant a single use permit to the owner of the Home Boys Exxon mobile gas station at the corner of FM 3549 and Highway 66 for a liquor store. By signing this petition you DISAGREE with the request to grant this permit.
Many studies including those by the Pacific Institute have shown there to be strong correlation between the alcohol density in neighborhoods and violent crime rates, as well as other crimes. By signing this petition it’s not that you disagree with liquor sales in Fate but that you disagree with this single use permit being issued to create this liquor store in Fate so close to very large residential neighborhoods.
