Fast-track the Venezuelan Humanitarian Bill

This petition had 1,115 supporters

On Wednesday, May 3, U.S. Senators Ben Cardin and Marco Rubio introduced Senate Bill 1018. This bill was created to provide humanitarian assistance for the people of Venezuela, defend democratic governance and combat widespread public corruption in Venezuela, and for other purposes.

Sign this petition today to ask the Senate to fast-track the acceptance of the bill.

Venezuelans have been oppressed by their socialist dictator, Nicolás Maduro, since 2013. Maduro has caused humanitarian crisis and economic depression within the once-great nation. Moreover, Maduro has eroded democracy and silenced the voice of Venezuelans by suspending elections and by removing legislative powers of the National Assembly.

For years, citizens have been oppressed and beaten into submission by corrupt and cruel military operatives. Over 85% percent of medicines are no longer available within the country, and at least half of Venezuelans eat less than twice a day. Venezuela has been in humanitarian crisis for far too long. It is time for the United States to reach out and help our brothers and sisters in Venezuela.

Sign today to ensure assistance for the people of Venezuela.
