Help us save academic time for Academics

Help us save academic time for Academics
Why this petition matters
Farmington residents have come together to express concern over the direction of our community, specifically among the public school student population and its educators. Last month, without approval from the Board of Education, teachers across the Farmington school system - from elementary schools to the high school - halted academic lessons (including skill-building classes like mathematics) to enforce highly political and divisive programs that did nothing to advance academics. Students old enough to choose to opt-out either faced damaging social and academic repercussions or were left with unproductive free time during the school day.
At a time when so much academic learning has already been disrupted, every hour of the school day needs to focus on meeting the academic learning needs of our students. So many students are already struggling academically. Our mission is to protect and advocate for the academic learning needs of all of our students. Please sign our petition and help us send a message to the Board of Education that academic time is for academics and no student curriculum should be enforced without approval from the Board of Education.
If you're a Farmington, CT resident and you're concerned, please sign this petition.
