Nueva Ecija is popularly known as the rice granary of the Philippines it is the house of almost hundreds and thousands of farmers and most importantly planting rice is one of the most important income that Novo Ecijano’s have. This petition is to fully inform you what is currently happening between the farmers of Nueva Ecija.

The Rice Tarrification Law, also known as Rice Liberalization Act of Republic Act No. 11203, amends the Agricultural Tarrification Act of 1996 that imposed tarrif to agricultural imports except for rice. But in February 14 2019 President Duterte implemented the Republic Act No. 11203 due to senate approval.

One of the objectives of the Tarrification Law is to lower domestic rice prices to levels that would be affordable to greater majority of the population. But this law has made things worse for the local farmers.

Farmers felt the pressure , hatred because of this law the price range will effect their income and investment in life this petition is to be the voice of our farmers to are being abused because of this law . Sign this petition let our voices be heard and let the farmers rise again
