Palm oil is destroying the environment. Palm Oil is also a cause for climate change and Orangutan death which is leading to their extinction. 

Palm oil is a vegetable oil from the fruit of oil palm trees. Palm Oil is harmful and damaging to Orangutan’s habitat. How could you want to harm the environment and innocent animals?

Palm Oil is found in 50% of ingredients and hidden in foods or disguised as vegetable oil. Palm oil is also hidden in foods such as pizza and biscuits also products such as soap and body creams. Oil Palm trees are native to Africa. Indonesia and Malaysia are the countries producing the largest amounts of palm oil.

Rainforests are destroyed for palm oil, leaving orangutans' habitats ruined and in flames. After making way for Palm oil they burn the plantations causing fires and smoke which is impacting Climate change.  2.3 % of deforestation is caused by palm oil. 27 million hectares of earth's surface is wasted on palm oil plantations. 

If we continue destroying the environment, climate change will continue getting worse and worse until it’ll be too late. Not only are animals and the environment being affected but also the indigenous people who have  been looking after the forests for years are now seeing their land being destroyed in Indonesia and having to leave due to the greenhouse gas emissions.
