Worldwide Hockey Fans vs. Bettman, The NHL and NHL Advertising Partners
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
The NHL has elected to not allow its players to go to the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Korea.
This decision has effectively robbed hockey fans worldwide of the opportunity to watch the best players in the world compete on the grandest stage.
The NHL near the end of their decision process indicated they wanted something in return for allowing players to participate in the Olympics. Therefore, the decision was not made on principle alone but involved an economic element.
The NHL seeks to expand its brand worldwide with games in the fall of 2017 to be played in China but providing fans around the world with lifelong Olympic memories from games to be played in Korea is not advantageous enough.
The proposal at hand is to ask Hockey Fans around the world to boycott all products advertised on NHL games, exhibition or other, that will be played in China.
