I am a 22 year old, college student and new mother. Last August my mom passed away unexpectedly at the age of 44. I was living with her as I worked on my degree. I have been living in our house since then and have been working with a realtor to buy my home. There is no "how to" manual on this unique situation so I've been doing as much as I knew to do. The plan was to put the house on the market as a short sale so I could buy it with the life insurance money. Now I am being evicted from the house and according to the attorney that is representing Fannie Mae at the eviction hearing my only option is to pay off the mortgage in full with cash. I do not have that kind of money, nor is the house worth the amount they are asking for. I just want Fannie Mae to recognize that this is a unique situation, and the cookie cutter processes should not apply. I want to buy the house, that is one less house they have to hassle with. Please help me to keep my childhood home and be able to raise my newborn. This is the only please I have to remember my mother and to be able to share that with my son is all I want to do! Please help!
