For Equal Justice For All
Around Feb.3 of 2013, I walked in the family dollar only to be asked by the cashier to hand over my murse. Confused as a man I asked what's the difference from a woman carring a purse and a man carring a murse? The cashier replied it's the policy of family dollar. I asked to speak with the manager who later told me that a man could slip something into his bag. I replied, "well so can a woman", and also informed her that i was shaken by the thought of me as a black man who shops here all the time be looked upon as a theif just because i carry a murse. I also told the manager that all my personal info such as money, cards, or anything thats within my bag is personal to me and i dont trust people with my personal belongings. I later contacted my lawyer who told me to write the manager or shop elsewhere. Please help me stop discrimination in America. Thank You...
