A safe parent can be parentally alienated by an ex partner who uses the legal system to inflict emotional damage to the alienated parent who is victim of the alienating parent's slanderous defamation of character purgery, using purgery and slanderous false allegations to control custody proceedings gaining pity and support from courts who hear of maltreatment that is simply fabricated to enforce protection which is not needed.this means it undermines cases where these orders are genuinely required and there is a real danger to someone who is vulnerable.a child can become weaponised and an alienated parent suffers emotional abuse with the child being weaponised and contact is not appropriately facilitated leaving the alienated parent distraught and discriminated against. There is no legislation to protect innocent parents or recognise parental alienation until the damage has already been inflicted.this must change so that a child has equal rights to access to both parents
