Any form of bullying is totally wrong weather it be children or adults, online or in person. Online bullying is on the rise and the rate of suicides are on the rise because of it. Weather it be individuals or creating groups (private or public)
Here are some statistics, The sad part is how difficult it is to find statistics on adults because there is no support for them out there. Because they’re adults they’re expected to just ‘grow up and deal with it’. It’s unfair and it needs to stop. (Variety of sources).
44% of bullying toward children age between 10-14 years old have resulted in suicide.
In 2014 childline had received 24,000 calls related to cyber bullying.
Nearly one in five (19%) children aged 10-15 in the UK experience cyberbullying, equating to approximately 764,000 children. 77% of those who were bullied said it had an adverse effect on mental health.
17% of males (366 respondents) and 20% of females (399 respondents) were cyberbullying victims in 2019.
26% of the victims either had a disability or a lifelong disease, while 18% didn’t have either.
There are 4,400 deaths linked to bullying.
