HMHS Fan started this petition to False accusers

If you are a student of Haddonfield Memorial High School or have been following the events at the school, then you likely know about the current controversy of the boys in the MBL (mini basketball league) vs. other HMHS students. These students, with faulty reasoning, believe that these students are misogynistic, antisemitic, and even racist, and made a petition for the HMHS administration to punish them. However, as explained by many concerned students in the comments of the petition, these claims are mostly empty, and those that have some merit are jokes taken out of context. I am not a member of the MBL, and I do not have any connection to them. I am not in the senior class either. I simply believe that these students are innocent.

Misogyny and antisemitism are real problems, and this situation and petition is making a complete mockery of them. This is all coming from a few kids having fun on their mini basketball account Instagram page. It was clearly a private joke meant for a small audience. It’s clear that they did not mean to offend Jews or promote antisemitism, as they have Jewish members of their basketball league. Although posting pictures of their armpit hair could obviously be taken the wrong way, it was clearly intended as a non-offensive joke. The claims of past racism and other offenses are completely empty, without any proof given, and honestly should be enough to drop the entire petition. It’s clear that there is a preexisting bias against these kids by the accusing parties that has turned this fun joke into a factually incorrect petition with hundreds of signatures

By signing this petition, you agree that these students should use this as a learning opportunity but do not deserve to be punished by the school for their actions.
We must work hard, together, to make HMHS a better, more inviting, and more inclusive place.
