For the last few years (pre covid) I have looked towards the summer and been excited for a holiday of drinking and partying with my friends and good music. Nothing embodied this quite as much as Falls. Every year we would meet up with a large convoy and begin our journey down to Marion Bay looking forward to 3 days of the best times of our lives.

While every other state has their own festivals and events year round, Tassie have one and it’s the one that everybody gets around. But now we have none. Falls has pulled out of Marion Bay, Party in the Paddock already shut their doors and now we haven’t got anything.

Us Tassie kids just want Falls back we want people to be able to experience the times that we have had. The journey down, the lengths you go to to get some grog in, the broken tents, the sunburns, the med tent mishes with your mates after they fall down the hill to the slums, the mosh pits that end with the seccys pulling you out. All of this is what it’s like to be a young adult. And this is what we will all miss if falls goes through with this and cancels Marion Bay.
