Falls Creek has secured grant funding to develop the Lakeside Precinct.  This will help grow Falls Creek year round, provide amenities and facilities for our world class athletes summer & winter, for our locals and alpine visitors. 

It will be the trail head for the iconic Falls to Hotham walk. The project includes upgrading the boat ramp area for our water sports lovers such as olympic rowers, fishers, sailers, kayakers.  It includes a cafe with sweeping views of the lake, toilets, showers and public day shelter at the 'ANARE' shed.

 Valuable carparking space will be created.

It will be a positive outcome for a majority of people.

To achieve this on a year round basis, 1.2km of Bogong High Plains Road will be cleared of snow.

A small group of cross country skiers do not want the full year round benefit of the project to proceed and are lobbying hard to stop this project due to the snow clearing of 1.2km of road. There are alternative routes to access the extensive XC trails and tens of thousands of hectares available for XC.

Falls Creek and the region would benefit greatly from this development project.  Please help us keep this project moving forward for the betterment of the resort, its community and the small businesses that would be more viable.
