Who knew it was a crime to have long hair

As you all know, Faith Lutheran College along with several other schools have recently changed a few of their policies and guidelines, in particular their hair policy. This policy states that every student attending faith, male or female needs to have their hair tied back if they are able to. As I'm sure was expected these rules are now a controversial matter within the grounds of the school. The majority of students now feel insecure regarding the way they look each day, and are worried about being judged by their peers.
Although many students when asked will explain they have no problem regarding this policy, they won't say exactly how they feel as being confronted by a teacher can be provoking and often intimidating for the students who are seen as quiet. This petition is speaking up for those who feel they cannot be heard, which is what Faith Lutheran College is all about right? Faith SHOULD be a place where students feel safe, where students feel they will NOT be arbitrated, where students are comfortable with the way they look and where students feel that their voice is HEARD.
