On February 15, 2022 at about 3:30pm I walked down to the bus stop and got my two boys Xavier (ADHD,8yrs old), and Kameron (ADHD,AUTISM, 6 yrs old) my three girls were outside playing in front of the apt waiting for us to get back to the apt. Once the bus dropped all of the kids off, we wait until the bus leaves then we cross the street usually we go to the sidewalk but it was all iced over. The entire sidewalk was ice. We started to walk home from the bus stop after the bus leaves Xavier said he heard a car, I looked behind us and I said "it's fine, it's just stupid Anne(upstairs neighbor), we're fine" the next thing I know She turned her bright lights on and then Xavier screamed MOM just in time for me to tackle Kameron out of the way, while I'm down from tackling my son this woman slams on her breaks Squeeling her tires so loud people actually came outside, then she screams"You're Done" puts her car in reverse then backs up as fast as she could, just to get far enough away to Try and hit me as fast as her car could get., I barely made it out of the way, now I'm freaking out.. someone just tried to KILL ME &MY TWO SONS. She almost succeeded, we then try to stay on the sidewalk because we are HORRIFIED. As Maria Anderson (Anne) goes down to the apt after failing not once, but twice trying to kill me and my kids. Maria drives into my parking spot which is directly in front of my apt door she sits there running her mouth, trying to antagonize me. Trying to get me to react, once my neighbor called the cops Anne then takes her car, parks it in her spot and runs into her apt before the police actually showed up. Once I gave my statement, the police asked my neighborhood if they seen anything, heard anything. At least 3 witnesses supported my statement. Once Maria knew the neighbors were involved she admitted to the officers, that yes she did do what I had said. The officers took her to the station for questioning, within an HR the police brought Maria back to the apt, took the plates off of her car. That is all they did. The only charges filed by Canastota Police Department are endangering the welfare of a child, that's it. Even though when this incident happened Maria had no license, no insurance and her tires were bald. All documented by the police. Yet as of 4/4/22, Maria Anderson is driving her car around, like nothing ever happened. While my kids and I have to deal with All of the trauma she caused. Even worse l, she knew my son was autistic and she did not care, she knew Xavier has ADHD and is a very emotional child. Still she did not care. You are supposed to feel safe when you call the police. Unfortunately this is not the case. We have called the police, told them everything and yet nothing is being done. The correct charges she should be facing at the least is attempted murder, assault with a vehicle much much more than one endangering the welfare of a child charge. Can someone, anyone, everyone please bring awareness to this incident. If I can't get the Canastota Police Department to protect my kids, my family. Then I'm hoping I can get the community to stand by me, stand by our rights. It is not ok, to pick and choose who will and who will not be appropriately charged.  Why is it ok for this woman to try and kills us, leaving serious damage emotionally, mentally. While my family and I try to get through this, since the police will not help, I PRAY our Community WILL FIGHT FOR What's RIGHT, FIGHT FOR our children to be treated equally. I thought the law protected people, when a crime is committed. But I'm not so sure Anymore.

* I am currently looking into lawyers, and I will find someone who can bring attention to situations like mine. I am looking into a lawsuit, someone will be willing to fight for my family's rights.
