City College Plymouth students support the UCU strikes!

Our lecturers at City College Plymouth are on strike fighting for a living wage and respect from college management. With rising cost of living payments and real-terms pay shrinking, our lecturers are struggling to make ends meet while college management continue to ignore them. 

While City College management decides to sit back and ignore our lecturers' reasonable demands, our education suffers. As well as missing 10 days of education, with exams, assignments and university applications due - the people who are supposed to be teaching, supporting and safeguarding us are underpaid, overworked and under incredible stress. How can lecturers provide us with the best possible education in such a hostile environment?

As City College students, we demand that college management engage meaningfully with striking staff to find a resolution to the strike. That means offering our lecturers fairer wages, reasonable workloads, and respect in the workplace!
