The Fair Pay Act was submitted to the House of Representatives on 4/1/2022 and failed to pass (Yeas and Nays: 197 - 225). The bill included a provision that would mandate employers pay overtime to salaried employees, removing the current overtime exemption. Overtime pay would also be retroactively be paid to employees that have worked more than 40 hours per week since the start of this year, 2022.
