Why is the Queensland Government attempting to implement laws and control of eScooter / eSkateBoards / similar when Cyclists have free roam?How is one of these electronic powered devices different to a push bike and why do cyclists have more rights? E.g. the right to use the road, the right to use cycle lanes and no speed limits applied?

Lets get real here, electric transport is under more scrutiny than push bikes have ever been, they have better breaks, better control/handling and speedometers over and more so than what push bikes have! Why have restrictive laws on eScooter/eSK8/other when they are by design safer and faster than a push bike?

Cyclists are allowed to use the road, among many more privileges denied to faster and safer eVehicle users. Cyclists don’t need a license or training before using the road so why are eVehicle users discriminated against when cyclists get a fair go?

This is not about removing rights from cyclists (I support their rights) but rather offering the same rights to eVechile users!

Give eVechice users the same rights as cyclists and ditch your new proposals to restrict them. All the new legislation on eVechiles is based on foot path use because it is illegal for eVechiles to use the road. Give eVechiles the same rights as cyclists and problem solved!
