Who is affected : Applicants who have met academic requirements for admission to higher education.

Problem : Applicants who have met academic requirements but rejected opportunity to register due to limited spaces according to Unisas approved enrollment management policy.

•applicants who applied early within the application process are not given preference.

• applicants with a lower APS where accepted while some applicants with higher APS where rejected which goes against unisas selection process which states "At the heart of unisas selection process is your individual point score.

•Why did Unisa extend it's application dates if they expected a high number of applications and their initial spaces available for each qualification would not accommodate the majority of applicants.

•No response or communication on unisas email system.

• Unisa opening late applications in January and accepting those with money in hand as apposed to those who have applied and are already on the system but rejected due to space.

Solution : Unisa applicants require transparency and change regarding applications for 2019.

•Late Applications must not open in January.

•Applicants rejected due to space must be put on a waiting list and given preference when space is available / next semester.

•Unisa must be transparent concerning their Approved enrollment management policy.

•Give rejected applicants valid reasons on their rejected applications, which is in line with unisas policy and stipulate reason for rejection eg. Socio economic group, race, gender etc.

•Specify how many spaces are available for each qualification and manner of selection.
