Required Sustainability Course in COB

I need your help. If you’re in the COB, you are aware that there is no required sustainability course. Before this semester, I never recognized the importance of having one. After taking Sustainable Business Practice & Theory (MGT 3300), I’ve learned enough to create a fire in me to think, why isn’t everyone taking this course? If we are all potential business leaders to be sent out there in the corporate world, we need to be exposed to what environmental state we are currently in, and how our business decisions can affect that. When you think about it, when you just look around, everything comes back to business made decisions when we’re discussing the direction we move for the health of our planet.
Just adding a course to our curriculum is not a simple task, but maybe if the department chairs and deans all take into account what the students want, I am hopeful we can make a change.
Sign this petition here if you are a business student and would like to see a sustainability course in the curriculum! (Not to add, but replace another course).
Thank you for your time!!
Non COB, I am not neglecting the need to add a required sustainability course in each major. It’s just the COB that I feel is feasible for me to make a change, and I want to emphasize the potential for how sustainably minded businesses decisions can really make a change.
