The clothing label Gorman is much loved by women (and men) all over Australia, and the world. It has earned itself a cult following in recent years, a loyal base of followers who form a community of sorts. That community thinks it is time for Gorman to step up in regards to ethical manufacturing processes.
Despite steadily increasing prices, Gorman is tight-lipped about their manufacturing processes; although parent company Factory X has not fared well in a recent report on Australian Fashion from Baptist World Aid, earning the lowest rating of F for some of the company's fashion labels (http://www.baptistworldaid.org.au/assets/Be-Fair-Section/FashionReport.pdf
This petition is calling for people to urge Gorman & Factory X to adopt ethical manufacturing processes. It is time for Gorman to be honest about their manufacturing processes and, if necessary, start to work towards ensuring Gorman is an ethical manufacturer, and an Australian fashion label to be proud of.
