As an artist, I express myself through my art, photography, and other mediums. This includes nude portraiture of myself and others. As a grown woman in 2021 who should be free to express herself through her photography and artwork. I find it despicable that a grown man can walk around with his nipples out, yet a woman's nipple is seen as sexual. Stop seeking sexual gratification over a woman's chest when there's no sexual context implied. A woman's chest only becomes appropriate when breastfeeding according to Instagrams guidelines. The sexism implied through the guidelines of Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to see an uncovered woman's nipple is disgusting. I have to protest to express my sexuality, human right to be seen as an equal to a 'man', as well as female empowerment. We need to eradicate the differences between a man's and woman's chest, it was only 93 years ago when women obtained the right to vote, but still today we aren't seen as equal and seen as sexual objects by the many. Through the LGBTQ+ community, who are these mediums to sexualize me, you, and others and assume our gender through our chests. I started this petition today to create a change for the art community, LGBTQ+ community, and for women. I'm sick and tired of my nipples being deemed inappropriate by someone who has no say over my body. #freethenipple
