I care as a resident and homeowner that my property taxes and the other property owners are subjected and been burden by increasingly high property taxes, water and sewer charges, payment for garbage disposal tags.

The burden  high property taxes can and will affect property sales and force many homeowners to leave the town. It is time that we the taxpayers pay attention by taking action to hold the Municipality accountable. We can not afford high mill rates to prop up the budget which affect the amount of property taxes; when calculating property based on MPAC property assessments in the old section and new subdivision. The old argument to justify high taxes must be transparent and tested. The time of complaining to each other is over. We must organize and make a change. All things are possible! 

Our town needs progressive management strategies  to maintain the roads in the winter and summer maintenance along the roads. Our bus shelters acts and looks like garbage cans; to get them maintained residents including me have to call and report that they need cleaning and roads need to be salted. 

What are we paying taxes for? Yet, vacant commercial buildings owners are exempted for all or some property taxes, which some are owned by elected officials enriching themselves and their cronies. Elective officials that gave themselves a suspected 2 salary raises during these stressful financial times.
