The Oculus Quest 2 NEEDS Parental Controls

The Oculus Quest 2 NEEDS Parental Controls
Why this petition matters
The Oculus Quest 2 ( now Meta Quest 2 ) has NO parental controls. Meaning that every child who uses it has access to a private web browser with no content filter or parental controls.
We ask that Meta ( formerly Facebook ) implement proper parental controls on their Virtual Reality devices. Parents should be able to disable apps like the web browser and Messenger, place limits on what game ratings can be played, and implement web filters on their child's Oculus Quest.
This feature has been requested before by the Oculus Community and gone ignored by Oculus and Meta for almost 4 years.
The Oculus Quest outsold the Xbox Series S/X this last 2021 holiday season and is now in the hands of hundreds of thousands of children without any parental controls or content filters.
Videos on YouTube explaining work around parental guide solutions have gotten tens of thousands of views showing that parents are looking for these safety features and are willing to implement unofficial solutions to try and keep their children safe.
Virtual Reality, or VR, is a new and incredible technology that is becoming common place and we want to make sure that VR is a safe environment for everyone and that parents can feel safe letting their children explore it.
