Stop Anonymity for Harmony

Anonymity is one of the biggest blockages to healthy communication. Better communication helps us create a respectful and peaceful society. We have always valued peaceful and harmonious existence. However, with differences in political affiliation, we forget our values.

Anonymity in social media, especially on Facebook and Twitter has allowed people to hide behind the mask and incite hatred, disharmony, division and fear. Let us stop anonymity and continue to engage in healthy exchanges of ideas by pledging to defend freedom of speech and expression of our fellow citizens.

Let us request Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms to help us keep together. This year is the election year in Bhutan, and the election will be democratic only when people supporting political parties share their concerns genuinely without having to hide behind the masks. Can we sign for clean and fair election? Please stop anonymous accounts and stop dividing us.
