people need to stop indulging the media's portrayal of the "perfect" body so that the next generations of teenagers develop into strong, confident adults who don't obsess over their body.

Because people, especially younger people, teenagers, young adults, feel this constant urge to be as 'perfect, flawless, skinny' as the images that are displayed to them in the media. The pressure to meet these 'standards' set by the media are just added to by the options to brand yourself in a status, and to make your self hate known and it should be stopped!
