Remove Facebook ban of Canadian Photographer and her body positive, "Manny" photo series
This petition had 570 supporters
Julia Busato started the “Mannequin Series” a year ago after she was gifted a mannequin from a friend. Busato told the BBC she took the photos to “remind the world that beauty should not be defined by a strict set of standards applied to everyone.”
Feeling like she “doesn’t fit into modern society’s version” of what a woman should act or look like, Busato’s photos have been shared more than 200,000 times with women still asking to join the series.
Julia is not finished with her series, “Women are standing up for each other and supporting each other. The series is being shared all over the world and that brings me so much joy.”
(Quote from ET Canada Article)
Julia now being banned from Facebook would love to continue her series, being unable to post and having more images removed by the day. I am asking we sign the petition so this ban may be removed and Julia may continue posting her work. Facebook needs to reconsider their guidelines especially those with creative content, Julia took extra care to censor images correctly. Facebook have not provided adequate explanation for this ban. Feeling this is completely unfair, if you do too please sign the petition.
Thank you for your support!
