Sydnea Jamieson started this petition to Facebook
FACEBOOK uses the legacy contact feature for users who pass away. However if they pass away young, or just haven't added a legacy contact, their pages will eventually disappear. This is shameful. A memorialized page should be permanent, so the family and friends of the deceased can see pictures and posts for as long as they see fit. FACEBOOK should not be allowed to dictate the grieving process.

FACEBOOK should allow family to add a legacy contact after death. If we get enough people who feel the same way.. they will change it.

I started this petition because...
My name is Sydnea Jamieson, I lost my 27yr old brother November of 2018. I recently was made aware that since he has no legacy contact his posts and picture will not stay memorialized on facebook forever. Just for a few years... my family, myself, and my brother Sean's friends use his page as some use a grave marker. We go on his page to see him laugh and smile, to step back into his life. If i was to one day find I couldn't do this... it would break me. Many other families hace expressed their pain on this same issue. I want to change it, for my brother Sean and for all the other families who have lost someone.
