On Friday June 7th, we posted to our Facebook page a very detailed piece comparing a recent case in Minneapolis in which a black police officer shot and killed a white lady, with cases in which the victims have been black , along with proof showing racial bias by law enforcement, prosecutors, and even cities when dealing with victims who are people of color. We also referenced the recently released documentary 'When They See Us' . Everything written in the article is backed up by either factual data or cited sources ( from highly accredited media, and ironically these cited sources' pieces have been ( and still are ) posted on social media including Facebook) . Facebook however flagged our post as SPAM and claimed that it went against community standards. Mind Thug is dedicated to creating, curating, and sharing information of interest mainly revolving around minority communities. We share achievements, celebrations, memes and light hearted moments,  but also heavily keep the community aware of the injustice, racism, and systemic oppression we face in today's world. Our FB posts have reached millions and are consumed and shared by thousands, mostly from minority communities worldwide. We very rigorously fact check and cite sources before sharing any news.

We have also been one of the key fb pages dedicated to posting consistent updates related to the passing of our community leader Nipsey Hussle.

Since posting the very well cited report on Friday, Facebook has launched an all out censorship attack on us, flagging all our posts, including posts in which we try to notify our FB followers that we are being censored. http://facebook.com/mindthvg

Facebook is the last plattform we ever expected to censor us from sharing information that brings awareness to different challenges the community faces. For some, this is the only way they can 

Right now, Mind Thug is muted from being a source of information to the community on Facebook.  Even our posts, trying to notify our followers about the situation have been blocked so we are being forcefully silenced, for simply trying to share information with the community.

We are small fish and Facebook is a Goliath. If they wish, they could probably erase our existence on the plattform with a snap of fingers, but at very least, if you you not wish the presence of black voices on FB, at least let it be known openly instead of trying to choke some of us quietly behind the scenes, knowing very well that this will impact the greater community......It was never expected that the marathon would be easy, but the marathon goes on.......
