I don't like that Facebook filters what I can see so they can maximize profits.

Facebook's algorithm has HUGELY impacted the rescue community monetarily along with risking the lives of "in danger" pets because they choose who sees what.

I work with several organizations with fundraising events that bring in $60,000 for worthy causes. The sudden drop in Facebook reaches has lead to a reduction in the amount collected in a recent fundraiser. If print media provide free space for npo's to inform the public about their events why can't FB.

I want the nonprofit rescue organizations to spend their money on the animals, not fees associated with their Facebook page.

In addition, something needs to change with "blocking". I network for dogs in need. I post and network to groups I am a member of and are specifically for networking animals in need! So, why are we getting blocked? We have to get the animals seen and the FB groups were formed for the sole purpose of networking. I continue to get blocked for sharing to save these lives.

I manage the Facebook page for an animal welfare organization. We have a non-existent marketing budget and have worked hard to increase our Facebook likes in order to save lives and spread information about responsible pet ownership. This new algorithm is detrimental to non-profits across the country.
