Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube all have discrimination policies that prohibit the use of hateful and racial slurs.  Instagram and Facebook have removed comments as hate speech for the use of the word “Negro”, but actively allow comments and posts that contain the n-word in alternative spellings (ending in “ga”).  This is a word that etymologically derives from a word that has been used to dehumanize, enslave and murder people of African descent for hundreds of years.  This is a word that even though some people falsely try to justify its origins and meaning is still disrespectful, hateful, and dehumanizing to millions of people of African descent in the United States and across the world.  This is clearly a case of hypocrisy.  Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and all social media platforms that have discrimination policies in place should ban the use of this racial slur no matter how it is spelled or intended to be used.
