There is a forever growing global issue that is mental health and I truly believe more of this than we think (primarily in women) is coming from the filters available online whether that be snapchat, instagram or another source.

These filters are setting unrealistic and unnatural beauty standards for women therefore making them more self conscious and insecure about the features they have been given. 

The straight forward answer would be to no longer use these filters if it is having this affect but quite frankly, if it is available, they will be used whether that be by an influencer or your old classmate.

Of course it is funny to have a laugh by using a filter here and there to send your friends but these filters are having a dangerous affect on this generation and the generations to come and we need to limit the filters available.

My goal with this petition is to see a reduction in the filters that change and warp your face to make you have a thinner nose, more defined cheeks, a 'stronger' jawline or more plump lips etc. They are damaging the way we see ourselves.
