Facebook: Allow "Jeff Bauman Jr. Support Page-Boston Victim" to change its page name

This petition made change with 78 supporters!

Jeff Bauman, 27, was severely injured at the Boston Marathon bombing on 4/15/13. He has had both legs amputated. The following Facebook page was created to support Jeff and his family during their very long and painful road to recovery.  www.facebook.com/supportjeffandfamily

The page also recognizes Jeff's guardian angel, Carlos Arredondo, the bystander in the cowboy hat who jumped a barrier and rushed to Jeff's aide. Carlos put out the flames consuming Jeff's clothing using his bare hands, ripped a shirt apart and used it as tourniquets, then pinched an exposed artery until he reached the ambulance, preventing him from bleeding to death.

Carlos is an immigrant citizen who lost both of his sons a few years ago--one died serving the country as a Marine in Iraq in 2004 and the other took his own life in 2011. After learning of his son's death in 2004, Carlos tried to take his own life, but was saved by the soldiers who informed him about his son's death.

Carlos, a peace activist, was volunteering at the event, handing out American flags in remembrance and to show patriotism.

We send our prayers and show our support to the Baumans, to Carlos and to all those affected by this crime, though we should all consider ourselves affected.

However, they would really like to change the name of the page to reflect who Jeff REALLY is.   He has surprised ALL of us with his comeback!   Jeff was not a victim of the Boston Marathon bombing - he is a SURVIVOR.

We are pleading for Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook to allow the family of Jeff Bauman Jr. to change the name of their group page.

The support page has over 55,000 fans; they shouldn't have to create a new page for a simple edit.

Please sign this petition to get Facebook to make this change for a true Boston hero.
