The purpose is to petition Facebook to allow DJs play copyrighted music & not block them.

The purpose of this page is to present a strong argument/case in the form of an electronic petition to allow DJs and non-DJs to play & post all forms of music, including copyrighted music without taking down the songs and or blocking the person who posted the song(s). Persons doing Facebook LIVE shows MUST be protected with any ruling. NOTE: this may or may not include videos uploaded separately. PLEASE SHARE, SHARE, AND SHARE. The goal is to get at least 2,000 signatures. A docket will be prepared with signatures for Facebook to evaluate and make a ruling. Argument will be made that individuals may be required to pay an annual fee (depending on frequency of use, to be determined by FB) which will be pooled to support the artists/owners of the music etc....THANK FOR SHARING.
Many artists and producers have expressed great joy and pleasure to hear their music played by various DJs and Non-DJs on the Facebook platform. Many of these artists don't get to hear their songs on terrestrial radio and other internet platforms. Facebook provides that instant gratification to know that the artists/producers/songwriters hard work are showcased whenever they enter in a chat room and realize that they are being promoted.
My proposal is for Facebook to collect a fee from persons playing music on their page...I've estimated that Facebook could collect $150.00/year/person times 40,000 (estimated users) which would equate to $6.0 million. This amount would be higher if more users or higher fees are involved. Additional revenues of $10.00 million could be generated by Facebook by playing ads on broadcasted LIVE shows. The funds would be collected/pooled and then disbursed to various publishers, artist & producers.
Facebook could bring in additional revenues if they ran 2 to 3 high end customer ads (10 secs) on some of the presenters.
Finally, several Radio DJs have expressed their frustration when they present a good show with excellent material and it is removed and the presenter is blocked for one week to 3 weeks by Facebook. Others play copyright music and they don't seem to get the same attention....YouTube allows material to be presented on their site and disburse royalties with persons without blocking them. Hope that Facebook admins will evaluate this proposal and implement a change IMMEDIATELY to generate revenues of up to $20 million/year to support artist songs/videos played on FB... Thank you very much for listening.
