The England football team is likely to enter the world cup in 2022. This will take place in Qatar, a country already known for its poor human rights. Questions were raised over the manner FIFA chose them. FIFA has battled with corruption in the past and this could be another signal. Qatar has never shown any talent on the football field and naturally they had to build several stadiums to house the many thousands of fans. They turned to neighbouring countries exporting migrant workers. These workers were desperate and the government seized their chance and started to exploit them. They payed them very little, put them in very poor working conditions and gave them little to no safety equipment. The world turned a blind eye as workers started dying or disappearing. Imagine you send your son to work and bring home some money. A letter is pushed through your door. You open it and inside is your son's death certificate. A news story revealed that 6,500 workers have died since they won the right to host the event. I don't believe that FA should endorse a country like this. Do you?
