Extra public holidays in the UK

By means of this petition, I hereby do put forward that the UK, should be granted a public holiday on the ruling monarchs birthday. Countries such as Australia have declared the birthday of the ruling monarch, to be a public holiday.
Furthermore, given that Australia also have a public holiday on Anzac Day to mark their respects for the Australian and New Zealand armed corps members that lost their lives during the war, I feel that the UK Government should also recognise that many lives of the British were lost during the wars and that Armistice Day be given as a public holiday. If at a weekend, then the public holiday should either be on the Friday or the following Monday.
I also feel that given that the Australians celebrate Australia Day, of which is a national public holiday, commemorating the founding on 26 January 1788 of the colony of New South Wales, that England should have a public holiday on St George’s day, Scotland on St Andrew’s day, Wales on St David’s day and Northern Ireland on St Patrick’s day. If such a day falls on a Saturday, then the Friday before be made a public holiday and if the day falls on a Sunday, then the following Monday be taken as a public holiday.
I feel, that as a British citizen from birth, I should be able to pay my respects to the aforementioned by means of a public holiday. Furthermore, this also offers equality in the matter. I feel it is grossly wrong that British Citizens cannot celebrate the ruling monarch’s birthday or a day such as St George’s Day.
